Religious
Leaders - cont'd
It was very interesting to discover that Joseph Smith, Jr.
(founder of the Mormons), Charles T. Russell (founder of the
Jehovah's Witnesses), and Mary Baker Eddy (founder of the
Christian Scientists) were three peas from the same pod. Their
similar handwriting is shown below. All three were dynamic,
gifted, intelligent persons who were both independent thinkers
and had good organizational abilities. Researchers into personality
have stated that religious and social reformers usually have
a particular set of personality traits, and the handwriting
of these three religious reformers clearly agrees with that.

Smith, Russell and
Eddy each show a great deal of determination to complete whatever
they start. The samples show that whatever they believe in,
they believe intensely. They plunge into matters by thinking
with their hearts. They also show that they all three were
very sensitive to the attitudes, moods, and feelings of people
around them, so that they could respond spontaneously to people.
A lot of business and cultural aptitude is also shown in their
handwriting.
While their handwriting is not able to tell us what religion
to join, the handwriting of these three dynamic leaders does
help us appreciate how impressive these three religious leaders
were. This helps us understand why they were able to gather
a following.
